The node team is pleased to announce the release of versions 3.0.1
(latest), and 2.2.34 (stable) of the driver, immediately available on
npm.

This release focuses primarily on support for MongoDB 3.6, as well as
a number of breaking changes permitted by the major version bump. A
list of changes, as well as a migration guide for breaking changes can
be found in the following locations:

Change Log: https://github.com/mongodb/node-mongodb-native/blob/3.0.0/HISTORY.md
Migration Guide:
https://github.com/mongodb/node-mongodb-native/blob/3.0.0/CHANGES_3.0.0.md

The 2.2.34 release of the driver includes a number of important bug
fixes, as well as a backport of support for the `mongodb+srv` protocol
in connection strings.

Change Log: https://github.com/mongodb/node-mongodb-native/blob/2.2/HISTORY.md

We invite you to try the drivers immediately, and report any issue to
the NODE project: https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/NODE.

Note that the 2.2 version of the driver will continue to be supported
for the time being, but will not support MongoDB 3.6 or any future
versions of the server.

Thanks!

The MongoDB Node.js team
