Any likelihood of adding vcf?

Not in the immediate future. However we will keep any updates posted.

I second the .vcf request. So, .vcf definitely does not work or is untested/unsupported?

Thanks -G

Hi All -
.vcf is a bit of a different media pipeline for us.  We currently process media like audio, video, images, and deliver those.  For .vcf we'd need to have a pipeline that bypasses the transcoder, and we'd need to do some research into how to present that .vcf via MMS in a way that the most smartphones could recognize and ingest it.

I've got it as a frequent request, but we'd need to start with some RnD to see how feasible it is.  So - not imminent but I'm bumping it up the feature list!

Hello Adam

I saw on your website that you support mp3.

My SMS is delivering but MMS is not (not even sending as an SMS with a link). Could this be because I am using mp3 ?

Regards,
Ranti Familusi

Hi Ranti -
We do support mp3.  Perhaps there is another problem. Send me (offline) the cell number you are sending to and I'll investigate!

Hi Anthony

Thanks for your email and sincere apologies for just reverting.

I was able to successfully test the MMS with mp3. I was sending the wrong file format (.ogg) earlier and thought I was sending mp3.

I noticed in the FAQ that users have to opt-in by replying Y to the first message before delivery of the message. I am assuming that this is due to using shared short code and this can be disabled if we secure a dedicated short code through mogreeet. We will prefer this approach as our messages will be sent to the users that have solicited for messages on a separate platform and have given us the permissions to send the messages.

Thanks for you usual response.

Regards,
Ranti Familusi

Hi Ranti -
I am glad to hear that the sends succeeded.  We should look into support for .ogg.

Yes - recording opt-in is a critical component of a successful mobile messaging campaign.  Our platform makes it easy (in fact automatic) to do this, but if you want to record the opt in status on your own, yes you can do this.

When you are ready to choose a dedicated shortcode please contact me and I can describe how you can record the consent to receive messaging and then programmatically opt in people to your campaigns.

Regards -
Anthony

Thanks Anthony,

I was just going through the document and noticed user.setopt call that I can use to opt a user for a particular campaign. I couldn’t see anywhere in the documentation where I could create my own campaign.

I am assuming this is only possible for enterprise customers. What do I need to become an enterprise customer ?

Hi Ranti -
Enterprise customers pay a monthly license fee which generally starts at $1500 monthly, so we should find out whether you really need that service.
You can make additional campaigns through the developer  Dashboard GUI (but not programmatically) at no cost. If all you need are a few campaigns, this is the way to go!

If you are ready to talk about a dedicated short code (which is a great idea) let me know and we'll get started on provisioning you a dedicated shortcode and that would come with an enterprise account, access to the enterprise account management GUI, and more.

Maybe let me  know (offline) a bit more about your needs and timeline, and I'll make sure you get what you need.

Anthony
