Hello Everyone !

I am new to the field of Self Reconfiguring Robots. I am doing Master
of Science(Computer Science by Research), and my research is about
Self Reconfiguring Robots. Could any of you guys mention me some
papers regarding "Simulators for Self Reconfiguring Robots" ? It will
be very very helpful for me as well as the others.

Thanks in advance !

Hi,

you might be interested in the ARGoS simulator I wrote for my Ph.D.
thesis in robotics:

http://iridia.ulb.ac.be/argos

It is designed to simulate large swarms of heterogeneous robots in
real time. Among other things, it also supports robot self-assembly.
New robots can be added as plug-ins.

Cheers,
Carlo

Hello,

I am not sure if you can find papers related to simulators, but  I think this link is going to be very useful for your research: http://modular.mmmi.sdu.dk/wiki/USSR is an Unified Simulator for Self re-configurable robots, the simulator supports the ATRON, Odin, and M-TRAN, and you can modify part of the libraries to create your own robot and most of these papers http://modular.mmmi.sdu.dk/wiki/Publications are using the USSR to test the algorithms....

Regarding the Unified Simulator for Self-reconfigurable Robots (USSR),
you can find the newest version here:
https://github.com/mimog/ussr

This paper describes USSR:

Also consider DPRsim:
