hi all,

my field of interest is robotics and automation.and my new research
topic is about the swarm robotic communication.i am planning to use
the adhoc networking for achieving the dynamic master slave
configuration
now what i want to know is about a suitable swarm robots/adhoc
networking simulator that i can use during my research.any comments
and suggestions regarding the subject is highly appreciated.

MIT's Proto language/simulator? -> http://groups.csail.mit.edu/stpg/proto.html

I was introduced to this during:-

Hey Everyone,

I'm working on a 2 DOF modular robot that crawls like an inchworm. I would
like to create an internal model of the gate and through simulation of the
gate improve the efficiency. I've seen graphic intensive approaches to
this, but am looking for a low resource set of equations and assumptions
that I can run on say, a gumstix. Does anyone know of any journal papers or
research that's been done on this?

Thank you,
Graham

When you say gate you mean gait?
Don't know what you mean by graphics intensive, or more efficient
(computationally or how fast the worm moves). You really haven't
stated enough information for anybody to be any help to you. Try
spelling gait correctly and look at the *tons* of literature on google
scholar. My first hit for "gait inchworm" was:-

Locomotive gait generation for inchworm-like robots using finite state approach

which involves only integer arithmetic and real-time performance. If
thats not what you want then read its bibliography.
