Can someone please tell me how to stop these 2 additional windows from opening when I open web pages? I have searched everywhere for info on this. Most of the posts are from 2013 - 2016. This just started happening 2 days ago and I have had Chrome installed for 3 years on this computer. All of the old posts that I have found about this make absolutely no sense to me. I need directions in laymen terms, none of this computer mumbo jumbo talk. I need step by step directions please! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. I cannot find either of these under "start up" in settings or anywhere else. Please help!

I would guess that your install of Chrome has been messed with - or at least your desktop shortcut.

I recommend:
1) Uninstall Chrome
2) Delete all the desktop shortcuts or Start menu shortcuts (assuming you're on Windows)
3) Reinstall Chrome
4) Use the new desktop shortcuts. You should be fine from that point. I hope.

For anyone who made it here via google like me, it turned out that in my case the computer was infected with IcedID trojan.  Malwarebytes, mbar, etc did not even detect it.  Webroot detected it, and sent us a manual fix for it. There are indications that other trojans may cause the same symptoms.
