Hi Folks,

I have an app that's reverse proxied by httpd. There are times that I may want to cache certain landing pages, etc., that are part of a press release, so that the app server isn't involved at all.

In other words, say I want the following (and only the following*) to be cached for 24 hours by mod-pagespeed:

  • `/` (home page)
  • `/grantees/*`
* No processing of, e.g., images, CSS, etc.

  1. Is this a decent use of mod-pagespeed, or is there a more appropriate tool?
  2. How would I configure that, starting with a fresh installation of mod-pagespeed?

Thanks,
Jamie

mod_pagespeed does not cache HTML pages.  It only caches resources that it rewrites.  It generally modifies HTML on the fly when configured to do so.

Maybe something like Varnish would be more appropriate?
