Hi All!

I get this error on a site:
Inside CSS: http://example.com/img/icons/mail-orange.svg: Image MIME type could not be discovered from reading magic bytes; rewriting dropped.

In the pagespeed admin message history log. Anybody who knows how to remedy this problem?

BR
Robert

You don't need to worry about this message. It just says that mod_pagespeed can't optimize the image and it will be served unchanged.

Currently mod_pagespeed can't optimize SVG format.

It's a little bitt strange cause I get:

[Thu Dec 08 22:32:20.047805 2016] [pagespeed:warn] [pid 19067:tid 140283161245440] [mod_pagespeed 1.11.33.5-0 @19067] [1208/223220:WARNING:resource_fetch.cc(191)] Fetch failed for resource url http://site.x/swipebox/xicons.svg.pagespeed.ic.XK9R6oAava.webp

And the image is missing in the browser also. If pagespeed doesn't handle svg it still tries to convert to webp and fails for some reason.
