Hi All

I have moved my Ai website to http://ai.ponywolf.net

In addition to this I now also run 2 buildservers for public use.
However PLEASE only use these build servers if you are totally unable to run your own build server.
These exist for those who have no way to run their own build server.
the buildservers are at http://aibuild.ponywolf.net:9990

The 2 servers are on a round robin DNS so please use the above address so the load balancing is in place.
1 box is a quad core with 4gb of ram the other is a dual core with 3gb of ram.

I can not guarantee the uptime of these servers so please be nice to them.

Hi! I can't visit your web site. And your build server isn't working.

Hey, I am unable to visit any of the two links you've provided. Please
check.

Thanks,
Bhumish.

DNS propagation should have fully kicked in by now the sites should be reachable.

It seems that propagation is still in going around.
i had the TTL for the NS set to high.

Depending on who controls your dns server it might still be sitting in cache but hopefully in the next few hours things should be ok.

No problem. I have converted all my apps with b4a. Making enough
money to pay my heating bill. It is much better than AI. Just wanted
to see if MIT had made any improvements to AI. How is Australia
treating you?

Greetings from Spain.

Here your links are still not working. I found really interesting your
bluetooth examples and I would like to take a look on them. Is there
somewhere else where you posted them as well?

Best regards.

Marc.

It seems that there was some DNS glitches and alot of problems because the TTL was set stupidly high.
This should i hope be resolved now.

On a note i see users are using my build servers there have been 80 builds in total accross the 2 servers.

I am currently now upgrading the build servers to the new version.

Shival,

Do you mind if I link my AI service to your build servers? I don't have a server which would run it appropriately (my linux server only has 768MB of RAM). I only plan to host a few people on my instance (just running with the free quote from app engine).

Thanks,
Ryan

Howdy Ryan

Some of the translation teams in the open source App Inventor project for All are using Shival Wolf's buildserver.
  Thanks again

Some had problems using his buildserver and I 'solved' the problem by switching them to a buildserver with less memory than you have. That machine would run for a while and then the buildserver would fall over. It has been running much!!! better recently.

However

Shival Wolf's buildserver runs like a race horse compared to that other one, it plods along. (working on the analogy... it is ~ 4 times faster on my cuff of the hoof tests)

I believe you can get a buildserver up on your linux server. It never hurts to have a herd of buildservers.

Wolf,

I yet to get it to work. US. Maybe it is an Australian thing. Using
another server.
Not impressed with MIT AI.

Looks like a clone of Google.

I am receiving error "unknownHost"  with the main.java    Does any have any ideas for a solution?  This is in the log-out log file after launching the ./launch-buildserver

Hi Wolf,

I still haven't gotten your new site: http://ai.ponywolf.net/ or
http://www.ai.ponywolf.net/ to load. I have tried clearing my browser
cache, no luck.

Also, I just looked it up on: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com
and it returned that the site was down.

I'm located in Germany.

I'm looking forward to taking a look at your new site, your last one
was incredibly useful.

Best,
Bryan

There seems to be an issue with my domain and the name servers some people can see my name servers while others can not. to get to that domain you have to be able to see one of my name servers and for some reason some people still resolve the old IP of my name servers.

Anyone who cant reach ai.ponywolf.net please do a lookup on ns1.wolfns.net and ns2.wolfns.net and see what addresses you get.

You say it "looks like a clone of Google" well duh. Google open
sourced it and MIT is running the project. Of course it looks like
the Google appinventor. it's the same software. On the other hand I
could be mistaken but I think Google got the blocks editor from MIT to
begin with. And with MIT committed to the project I'm confident AI
will only gain features and usage. In any case it's working at least
as well as it did under Google's management if not way cooler now that
I can run my own AI setup.

For people unable to get to my site i restored the old domain name to host it on. I am still hosting the rest of my new stuff on the new domain however.
Most of the world can reach my new site but some people seem to be using dodgy DNS providers that arn't doing the right thing.
I reset the new domain so fingers crossed.

Also I updated my build servers to the new version 76 so if you are using my build servers then make sure you update your versions of app inventor.
