REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS (only significant projects are listed below)

September 1995 - now:

* Gateway Adapter. C++, SQL, Informix, Oracle, DB2, ACE, RogueWave,
PowerBuilder, Xplatforms. Project leader.

This project was under my leadership during more than a year, from the
beginning. The purpose of Gateway Adapter is to perform 'Transactions'
from/to different media types (Database, File, Pipe). There is 'monitor'
and 'components', who transfer data to each other with the help of UNIX
shared memory mechanism. Each Transaction may transfer up to millions
data records. There were 2 'internal' languages designed and implemented,
to manage transaction topology, semantics e t.c. Whole system was designed
such flexible way that to add new media type (for example : Sybase SQL
server), the only thing that we shall do is to write and build
'sybase component' - all another parts of system (includeing Transactions
descriptions) will stay unchanged. This project was made with the help of
outsourceing to another Russian teams/individuals. My work was design,
testing, quality assurance e t.c. to make all this work.

* Porting Majordomo, Hypermail e t.c. to Windows NT, MS VC++, MAPI
Project leader and programmer.

* CMS environment. Oracle, C. OraPerl. Project leader and programmer.

There is a big Oracle-based shedule system, that is installed, developed
and supported in USA, and there are some parts that are outsourced to Russia.

March 1995 - September 1995:

* InfoPage Paging System. Windows, C++, Visual Basic, MS Access. Project
leader.

This system includes a set of wfwg-based GUI 'workplaces'.
Operator/Administrator/Sales Manager e t.c. This project was under my
leadership from the beginning.

* MacroAssembler for 8051 within a package of C, Asm, Linker, Librarian.
Project leader and programmer.

* Any-By-Mail robot.

It's a Perl kit for mail-robots. Designed and implemented by myself.

September 1994 - March 1995:

* LAN for VeriFone OMNI POS (credit card terminals).
Programmer.

There was a standalone program, written by another person, that allow
operator to make a credit card transaction's with the help of internal
modem. My work was to rewrite this standalone program to act as a
'client/server', in situation that there is some number of VeriFone
terminals in LAN, some with modem, some without. The resulting programm
acted as a 'client' on modemless terminal, and as 'server' at
terminal with modem.

January 1994 - August 1994:

* TCom FaxServer. AIX RS/6000, Sun Sparc, C, Empress, XVT, Motif,
X-Window.

There was a big system, that was written by 5 persons during 3 years. The
puprose of this system was to send/receive/store messages of different types
(E-mail, Fax, e t.c.). Before my participation in this project sytsem had
no abilities to work with graphical messages, only text messages were
allowed. My work was to rewrite this system to understand graphics, and
to support some graphics-related services. For example, I wrote a
'Fax-viewer/transformer' , with the help of Motif and X-Lib calls.

September 1992 - January 1994:

* Multiplatform C++ library for SAA interfaces.

Internal-use instrument. It's OWL and TurboVision based C++ library that
allows to write the same GUI-related source code for DOS and Windows.
Designed and implemented by myself.

* Source Viewer: C & C++ source code browser for DOS, UNIX, Windows.

Internal-use instrument. Still used used by many C/C++ developers in Russia.
Designed and implemented by myself. More information is on
http://www.lexa.ru/rpa in section "RPA Software".

September 1991 - September 1992:

* Cell-Master: game for MS Windows.

It's a 'ready-to-sell' game, that was designed and developed by 3
programmers, under my leadership. I took a part as a programmer.

September 1990 - September 1991:

* Teach CAD with IST, Sweden: multimedia system for education. DOS,
Windows.

It's first version of a program that currently is known as 'MediaMania'
and 'MediaMaster' and is widely distributed in Germany and USA.

October 1988 - September 1990:

* MIT-LOGO Interpreter for PDP-11 clone.
* Writer. Text processor for PDP-11 clone.
* Games for PDP-11 clone.

Numerous copies of LOGO, Writer, Games, and TechCAD were installed at
secondary schools of the former Soviet Union.

Comment.

Currenly I'm a Coordinator of RPA (Russain Remote Professional
Programmers Association).

We are a professional programmers, with extensive experience of successful
work in 'remote' (offshore) projects.

Difference in salaries and usage of our own equipment makes such projects
interesting for both sides. We work such way more than 2 years and plan to

continue this work during a long time - so we are interested in any project
that may come from you in future.

RPA is not a simple team of programmers - it's a growing Association
of programming and WWW teams with _real_ experience in offhore programming.

You can get more information about us at http://www.lexa.ru/rpa. Briefly:
we have strong UNIX, C++, X-Window, Motif, TCP/IP, SQL, Sybase, Oracle,
Informix, SmallTalk and WWW skills.
