How do I set initial guess for theta?

Hi,

Is there any way to set initial guesses for theta? Since initial guesses have a lot of impact on the outcome, I would like to experiment defining the initial theta instead of the  questions parameters. Is there any way to do it with mirt?

Theta values are not used in MML. Instead they are integrated out, so there is no need for starting values. See the JSS paper associated with the package for more details.
