Greeting

based on mirt functions, what is your recomendation for comparing item parameters of two models (for example 3pl with 3PLu) to determine which models yield more accurately item parameters than the other?

Models with more estimated parameters will always be less accurate than more parsimonious models because of the reduced degrees of freedom. So you don't need a test to determine which parameters are more accurate.
