International Mahjong Primary Competition Rules

Hi everyone,

The World Mahjong Organization, publisher of the Mahjong Competition
Rules (also known as Chinese Official) style of mahjong recently
published a slightly simplified version, called International Mahjong
Primary Competition Rules.

There are a few main differences:
1. There are 30 scoring patterns instead of 81.
2. The minimum score to go out is 6 instead of 8.
3. There are no bonus points scored instead of 8.
