Hello list,

According to my memory, the 3.3.0 image [1][2] file (listed official
prebuilt release) fails to boot on a Beaglebone Black. Can somebody
verify that, or has it been recompiled with LLVM and is now working?

Cheers,

The official 3.3.0 image should work just fine. We would not upload a non-working image as an official download! You are right in that MINIX3 has been broken on the BBB more recently, starting from the post-3.3.0 resynchronization with NetBSD code, and that is still the main problem that keeps us from releasing 3.4.0. See [1] for more details. It is being worked on, but in a nutshell, the problem is with gcc and the solution is indeed to switch to llvm for the ARM port, and that switch is far from trivial.

Regards,
David
