can''t build fish shell

Hi again

I am having a lot success compiling from source on minix. However my environment variables are messed up and I keep having to type them into the command line. I tried to install bash but it's broken in 3.4 from pkgin and after compiling from source.

I tried to install fish.sh.

I am getting this error:

fatal error: 'tr1/memory' file not found.

searching around this seems to be a problem in Mac OSX and FreeBSD. Some people have offered patches but it looks quite involved and FreeBSD specific.

Is there anything I can try?
