Actually, he does mention automatic fire suppression.

Although the point of this article is talking about old warehouse space being used to save money. The users aren't likely to have the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars needed to install sprinkler systems.

I did talk to some companies about the cost to add sprinklers it the space and rough estimates were over $80,000
