I've got a distributor coming today.  I'll have him quote and see if he can get them cheaper than the list prices.

Tom,
I can get the band saw blade from Morse for $38.00 each. They do not have the circle blade though and there is a $150 min for an order but I may be able to add it into another customer order this week. Iet me know if you want me to order and how many.

We should order 4 or 5 blades at a time, and thus meet the minimum requirement.

I try to go with as many teeth as possible on the cold saw, I think the last one was 180

the circular saw blade is still a little pricey at 150. I would appreciate that people continue to look

The ones I linked to are only $90 each.
I searched extensively in the past and unless you can find one offs on e-bay, $90 is about the best price.

Did we use all three blades I brought in for the horizontal saw?

I couldn't find any that size last time I looked, are they supposed to be on the wall or somewhere else?

Well, I guess this is an admission of age; Several months ago I brought the two unused blades into the metal shop and Tom Klein and I placed them "Where we wouldn't forget them".  We haven't remembered the location as of yet.  Somewhere in the metal area, most likely in a cabinet . . .

I would not be surprised if they were just used.

This is the answer I got from PDQ Tooling (St. Francis) on the horizontal saw:

"The 7'- 9" x 3/4" × .035"  bimetal band saw blade from Towerleaf is a 6 to 10 pitch is $22.80 each.

The similar bimetal blade, but,  broach style from Sterling would be $24.98 each. The broach style would give a little better tool life."

He still waiting on the cold saw manufacture he reps. Do we know if it's a 32mm or 40mm hole?

Cold saw blades have a 40mm arbor and can be up to 300mm in diameter, slightly smaller diameter is ok, but the smaller it is the shallower a cut we can make.

Looks like Sterling makes wood blades, he could certainly quote on of those:

http://stanleyind.com/Downloads/AuthorizedDist/Sterling_blade_catalog.pdf

He reps metal cutting tools mainly, but some of his other manufactures he reps may have wood saw lines.

I'll see what he comes back with and share it.
I don't have a whole lot of optimism, but you never know.

He did just get me parts for a bore gage that is missing parts Bob K left behind.  $10.33.  It's a $250 gage.

I think Bob will be happy to let it become a tool for the space.  Or Ebay it, and we can split the proceeds between him and the space's metal shop.
