• 2+ years of development experience in Java (C++, C#, and/or C could be useful here with some Java experience)
• 2+ years of development experience in Perl and shell (or equivalent UNIX scripting languages, shell strongly preferred)
• 2+ years of professional experience developing in a Linux/UNIX environment
• 2+ years of Linux system administration experience would be good OR Strong understanding of Linux internals.
• Strong analytical skills
• Good knowledge of object oriented analysis and software design patterns
• Experience working in a challenging and fast paced environment
• Experience working in complex software development projects
• Experience in all stages of the software development cycle and knowledge of configuration management tools (Clearcase, Perforce, and/or GIT preferred)
• Strong documentation and written English communication skills

 Skills that would be a plus:

• 2+ years of Python experience
• Webservice development and deployment
• Medical Domain Experience
• Prior GE Experience
• Agile/SCRUM development methodology experience
