Role Summary:

The Craftsperson is a key point in achieving the special projects execution goals for Stone Creek Coffee. The Craftsperson’s work is vital to provide a quality product, with unmatched service, that well-represents the Stone Creek Coffee Brand.

Role Metric of Focus:

  • EXECUTION GRADE - A major aspect of Stone Creek’s performance and financial viability rests in the ability to keep the company’s operations and equipment running exceptionally in a cost effective manner. The metric focus of the Craftsperson is to fulfill project requests in a manner exemplifying true quality. Additional value is created as preventive work is done and the quality of company execution rises.

Role Aspects:

  • IMPECCABLE SERVICE– The success of Stone Creek Coffee retail cafés, wholesale customers, and operations teams is dependent upon those teams having excellent working machinery. The Craftsperson, under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, should endeavor to provide a quality interaction and final product for their customers, both internal and external.

  • QUALITY CONTROL – As a Craftsperson, there is the responsibility to make sure that all developed equipment is at a level that keeps the coffee and coffee drinks at the standards set by the Direction Team of Stone Creek Coffee.

  • OPS - The Craftsperson, as a member of the Facilities Team, is responsible for accomplishing the goals set for them by the Cafe Tech Manager in accordance with the company’s project needs. The Craftsperson is not only responsible for fulfilling project requests, but working with the maintenance team when requested.

  • COST CONTROL – Inefficiencies and errors will occasionally arise with the nature of equipment and technology. The Craftsperson will constantly evaluate and sharpen/change systems to rid the company of these inefficiencies and control costs in labor, inventory use, repair costs, and repeat occurrences of facilities requests.

  • COMMUNICATION/COORDINATION - A large aspect of the Craftsperson role will be to work closely with the Facilities Manager on specific task Fulfillment. Thus constant and detailed communication about progress, needs, and next-steps is vital to keep work progressive and positive.




Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience

  • Handy with tools and simple machinery

  • Quick learner

  • Independent worker

  • Strong problem solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in one or more of the following trades (ex. carpentry, machine repair, electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, welding, landscaping etc.)

  • Experience repairing food service equipment (ex. brewers, grinders, espresso machines, etc.)

Compensation:

  • TBD, based on experience
