After scanning a few people, some art, and even my cat I was approached by Arland Whitfield, founder of Skyworks, with the idea to put our heads together & scan something BIG.
The building we decided on was Holden Observatory on Syracuse University's campus, being one of the oldest buildings in the area and at a little over 2 stories tall it was the perfect sized challenge to try and bite offMark, someone already did this with their R2-D2 (I think in Germany) and Google is testing this with their project Tango using cell phone cameras.
I want to see a drone that models the interior of a building by flying through and scanning as it goes, like the devices in the movie "Prometheus".I would be surprised if the military is not already working on something like that.
