I was surprised to see the woman assembling the dial indicator with bare hands.

I was expecting more "tweezers and loupe" assembly as well, but for a measurement tool that's only graduated in 0.001" increments, I suppose such precision is overkill?

Fingerprints on the dial would really mess with customers' perception of quality. They charge a premium price for their stuff...
