Aliyu,

A little while back I did some work on Account Statements with Rebecca
at Nuru. The attached zip contain 3 examples. You'll most probably
only need the one called "Multi Loan and Savings Account Statement"
(the others are variations). The work was specific for Nuru so you'll
see there is a parameter called Client External Id, obviously this
won't be too useful for everyone... but I think the other parameters
(start date, end date & name) are generally relevant. Additionally,
the parameters are geared towards smaller MFI's (couple of thousand
clients) rather than larger MFI's with many branches. Of course, it
is a pretty small matter to customise parameters to whatever
situation.

The installation instructions are:
1) unzip the attached file (zipUpAccountStatementfiles.zip) - this
will result in a directory with has 2 further directories and an html
file.
2) copy the 2 further directories (MiscReports & MiscdataAccess) under
your pentaho "pentaho-solutions" directory
3) copy the html file (template-dashboard-mifosAccountStatements.html)
under you pentaho "pentaho-solutions\system\pentaho-cdf" directory.
4) go into pentaho server and do Tools/Refresh/Repository Cache - The
new folder "Miscellaneous Reports" should pop up after a while. The 3
Account Statement options are in there.

Usage Notes about "Multi Loan and Savings Account Statement"
1) You can use Start Date and End Date to report on a particular period
2) You can enter either "Client External Id" or "Name". "Client
External Id" looks for an exact match. "Name" matches any client
having the text somewhere in its name.
3) When you enter data into the external id or name field and then
press "tab/enter/move out of" a client search is run. If the search
finds more than one client match it will let you select a client. If
only one client is found it automatically looks for the client
accounts.
Similarly, if more than one account is found you can select one or
more accounts (using ctrl or shift for extra selections), if only one
account is found its statement is run automatically.

Let me know how you go.
John
