Since I personally know the various priorities the development team is grappling with, I would like to propose something on reports development:

 

a)      Would you or people in your company like to volunteer for creating the relevant reports? If yes, could you send me names of such report developers?

 

b)      Santosh Math plans to do some technical trainings around Mifos X shortly. We could take up reporting as one of the initial sessions. Santosh and Sughosh Bharadwaj (expert from Conflux Technologies on Pentaho reporting and ETL) can take a session on how to create custom Mifos reports. Together they can cover the following topics:

-          High Level overview of Mifos X database schema (which is absolutely needed to create custom reports)

-          Custom reports using stretchy reports

-          Developing Mifos X custom reports in Pentaho

Anyone with some understanding of SQL queries, a high-level understanding of reporting and a willingness to get hands-on can participate.

 

c)       After the training you can create and test the relevant reports and send to me for review

 

d)      I will coordinate in getting these incorporated into the next Mifos X release

 

Is this workable? My gut feeling is that waiting for the core Mifos team to come out with all required reports will be a long wait.

The client didn’t specify particular report but suggested if we could have same files copied in the default package.

 

He was insisting on Loan Officer Performance Reports which I could state them as Priority.

 

Is it possible to copy all in a production setup or is there a way we could integrate Mifos X and Pentaho BI Server?

 

I have created the request in JIRA as well (MIFOSX – 1378)
