Hi all,

We have assembled a team of volunteers and partners across the community to continue the work of Vladimir on his GSOC project on the mobile money gateway to provide a middleware to integrate Apache Fineract/Mifos X with mobile money APIs.

This is a critical project for the community that has gone far too long without a full viable solution. Although this integration is initially with Generation 2/Apache Fineract 1.0, we want to port the gateway over to Apache Fineract CN and the documentation of use cases and integration to be supported is valuable for either codebase.

Denila Philip, has graciously volunteered to be the product management lead for this project to help document requirements and guide it to completion. Nazeer is acting as the lead architect with Antony and Yannick as the tech leads, Ayuk as a subject matter expert, and Vladimir, Thynn, and Murali as developers working on completion of the module.

We are currently reviewing the work that Vladimir completed over the summer, refining the proposed architecture and design (https://goo.gl/uQa8bR) and fully documenting the use cases and and scope of integration with mobile money APIs that are accessible through the community. All project deliverables will be tracked at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FINERACT/Mobile+Money+Integration

An extreme valuable way any community member can help would be in filling out this initial survey at https://goo.gl/forms/LAZRmy5lIdWQQpQp1

and then being available for an interview with Denila for her to capture your use cases to be documented at: https://goo.gl/waEPXd

Thanks,
