Hello Subbu,

In latest release of Mifos X platform, for newly created saving account not
able to add charges after account has been activated. example:
https://demo.openmf.org/#/viewsavingaccount/314

And looks like bug is present fineract code.

Please confirm is this a bug, if please log it into bug tracker.

We see that the issue is happening when Account number prefix setting is used, and this bug is prevalent from Apr 7, 2015.

Fix will be applied to fineract develop by EOD today and same will be part of next release.

I have a question. I'm in the Mifos X Client and I'm under the Accounting tab adding accounts. However, after clicking on add account and filling out the information and then clicking submit, when I go back to the chart of accounts the one I just created isn't there. Now, if I go into my browser settings and clear all browsing data then click on accounting then chart of accounts, the account(s) I created shows up just fine. Is there anything I can do so that I don't have to continuously clear my browser data in order to see the accounts that I'm setting up in Mifos?

Please help. Thank you

The data need to be coming from the application and nothing to do with
browser cache. The cart of accounts page need to be navigated again as the
newly created account need to be get by the api call that was made . If
required explicitly use incognito mode

Hi all,

We found the root cause for schedule jobs issue. This issue is happening
after integrating Drizzle JDBC connector with Fineract platform.

*Root cause:*
For some reason we are getting lock acquisition exception while updating
schedule job running status. After this, all triggers (existing & new) in
that group scheduler moving into BLOCKED state. The only way to recover is
to restart the server.
At this moment we couldn't figure out who is holding the lock.

We have provided a workaround fix and testing is going on staging server.
We will analyze this behavior for 1 week and changes will be merged with
platform after community review.

If you are blocked with this issue, please configure your platform with
MySQL JDBC connector.

Thanks for looking into this. Someone said it was an issue with just the
community install at https://demo.openmf.org which it is not becauae we can
reproduce on our install too. If we can all work together to make sure
these events are always moving as expected it makes mifos very strong.
Please let me know when you get a fix and i can you
Test it. Fyi this issue has been around before Fineract.

In the case of Mifos Standing Instructions, the beneficiary is synonymous with the receiver - in the case of the this being a standing instruction between one's own accounts - the beneficiary would be the same as the sender and then the account would be one of their other accounts. In this case the beneficiary field is auto-populated. 

If the beneficiary is another client within the bank, you can select the client as the beneficiary (receiver of the funds) and then select the respective account of the client that the funds will go to.

Can you please share a sample repayment schedule or some more details about the scenario you're describing and problem you're facing. The repayment schedule in MIfos is automatically generated with all corresponding interest and principal calculated unless you specify that it's a variable installment loan, in which case you can manually configure the repayment schedule.

Savings account linkage is relevant from the context of linking it to loan accounts and linking to fixed deposit accounts.

When a savings account is linked to a loan, you can disburse the loan directly to the linked savings account. By linking the savings account at time of creation, you can also configure a stranding instruction for automatic repayments to the loan account from the linked savings account. Mifos X at present support only two type of amortization, one is equal installments and another is equal principal payments.

Note: Equal principal is also know as declining installment because principal portion is fixed but interest will keep on reducing as you pay. so it is reducing installment or declining installment

Mifos X platform supports defining the custom loan products, loan product can be defined by navigating to Admin>Products>Loan Products

Under "Create loan product" screen there is section for settings, under settings select the Amortization type: Depending upon the type of amortization you practice select one.  

• Equal Installments - All repayment amounts will be equal but the principal and interest amounts will vary with each repayment.
• Equal Principal Payments - All principal amounts will be equal but the repayment and interest amounts will vary with each repayment.
