Web Development Engineer
AgSmarts is seeking a highly-motivated, full-time Web Development Engineer with to join our development team in Memphis, TN using the latest web technologies including Ruby on Rails.
AgSmarts is a Precision Ag technology company that offers wireless sensing technology, predictive irrigation and crop management analytics and equipment automation that collectively represent a revolution in data-driven agriculture. AgSmarts’ platform combines hardware and software solutions into a versatile, powerful and cost effective suite of tools that producers, researchers and agronomic consultants can use today in the struggle to conserve natural resources, control operational costs and maximize crop yields.
Responsibilities:
Maintain AgSmarts.com and Portal.AgSmarts.com
Maintain bug log
Customer support with app, web portal and website
API Support for OEM customers
Development of code infrastructure for mobile apps, webportal and website
Development of UI for mobile apps, webportal and website
Development of database for mobile apps, webportal and website
Desired Skills and abilities:
At least 3+ years experience with Ruby, PHP or ASP .net
Eye for great design
Experience designing and implementing browser-based user interfaces using Bootstraps, Angular JS, AJAX, REST, and/or JSON.
Relational Database experience: Graph, MySQL, etc
Experience scaling high traffic websites (architecture / database)
Personal projects that show an aptitude for engineering and product sense
Experience with server administration, Digital Ocean and Amazon Web Services
Bonus Skills:
Experience with PHP and MVC framework
Experience with HTML 5 Canvas animations

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Field Service Technician
AgSmarts is seeking an experienced Field Services Technician with precision agricultural experience preferred. This position will install, support and service AgSmarts wireless field devices with end users and distributors. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills to professionally interact with our customers. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
Take out, set-up, and calibrate AgSmarts’ equipment to be used by producers
Ensure that all equipment is running and safe to operate
Ensure equipment properly communicates with web portal
Preform onsite training for distributors and producers.
Create daily reports of installed equipment and communicate any variances or issues
Complete proper documents for QC and installation of equipment
Desired Skills and abilities
Ability to use GPS calibration tools
Advanced knowledge of computers
Advanced troubleshooting skills (Wireless, electrical)
Knowledge of agricultural production and practices (beneficial)
Ability to travel by vehicle to customer locations / farms
Good Driving Record
