Anyone with any info on this?? I have not been able to
find any on it. I install cable modems and network cards
as a job, and just built a Athlon XP 1800 on a giga-byte
GA-7VTXE motherboard with the KT266A chipset. I have an
64MB AGP video card. Running WIN XP, ofcourse.
PROBLEM: I have tried to install 3 different PCI cards (2
network cards and 1 video-cap card) and I get the same
error on all of them. WinXP will find and identify the
card on bootup, start loading the drivers, and then the
Add Hardware Wizard gives me an unspecific error message
stating:
Cannont install the hardware
An error occured during the installation of this device.
The Data is Invalid.
ANY IDEAS?? I have tried everything I could think
of: I tried 3 different PCI cards, assigned the IRQ to
the specific slot in BIOS, tried different slots, flash-
updated the BIOS, updated ChipSet, nothing has worked,
what am I missing? Is it my motherboard or WinXP??
