WSUS 2.0 ==> 3.0 upgrade fails (failed to create network share)

hello

I tried to upgrade my WSUS 2.0SP1 server to WSUS 3.0. But unfortunately
it failed and my WSUS 2.0 was gone.

I got this error:

"Failed to create network share (-2147467259 WSUSTemp)"

I could press OK and then I got another error:

"Failed to drop network share (-2147467259 WSUSTemp)"

then the installation rolls back and WSUS 2.0 is gone sad.gif

any ideas?

Can you manually delete the share folder %programfiles%\update
service\LogFiles\WSUSTemp (if still there) and then do another install?
