Somehow, ripping out WSUS and reinstalling it seems pretty weak.

Thanks,

My first thought is that the backslash in your target group name is annoying
something.

Try changing the backslash to a dash or an underscore,
update and refresh the policies,
and then run 'wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow' on this client
system.

0x8024400e - SUS E PT SOAP SERVER
The message was OK but server couldn't process at the moment

It could also be that your server is "too busy",
or it could be "hanging" trying to deal with that backslash in the
target group name.

Lawrence,

Your first thought hit the nail on the head - Thanks for the suggestion! I
removed the \ from the Target Group Name in the policy and rand a gpupdate
/force on the machine.

I have an AD Group named "FCS IT Machines" and also specified that as a
group in WSUS - when entering the Target Group in the policy the domain\group
format was used.

All is well now ( as far as machines getting to WSUS, anyway)

Thanks - BHethcote
