Everytime we send a message with Outlook and request a delivery report, we
get an "automatically generated delivery status notification".
Your message has been successfully relayed to the following recipients, but
the requested delivery status notifications may not be generated by the
destination.
In attach I find the corresponding report: Reporting-MTA:
dns;john...@test.be
Final-recipient: rfc822;john...@test.be
action: relayed and status 2.5.0.
The message is well sent, and I get the delivery notifications back from the
recipient's mail server. Now is my question how can I configure Exchange not
to send those DSN's to me?
Thanks in advance,
Carl
Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.
According to your description, I understand that you would like to
configure the Exchange Server does not send those delivery status
notifications. If I have misunderstood your concern, please don't hesitate
to let me know.
As you mentioned, since you have configured the outbound message request a
delivery report, the destination recipient will automatically generate the
delivery report to you. If you would like to disable it, please open the
Outlook, point to Tools -> Options -> E-mail Options -> Tracking Options,
clear select the Delivery receipt option, click OK to exit.
If your Exchange server is attacked by SPAM and NDR<Non-delivery Report>.
You want to disable the Delivery Status, please refer to the below steps:
1. Click "Start", point to "Programs", point to "Microsoft Exchange", and
then click "System Manager".
2. Expand the "Global Settings" container in the left pane, click "Internet
Message Formats", right-click the "Default" object, and then click
"Properties".
3. Click the "Advanced" tab.
4. Click to clear the "Allow non-delivery reports" check box, and then
click "OK".
