on a 2 nodes cluster (W2003 Ent US SP1), the cluster service stopped with this message:

Description : Cluster service suffered an unexpected fatal error at line 542 of source module d:\srvrtm\base\cluster\service\dm\dmsync.c. The error code was 1726.

Source : Service Control Manager

EventID : 7034

Description :

The Cluster Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).

With Cluster Diagnostics, I opened the clusterlog on the node :

I tried to restart the server, to restore the CLUSDB … same symptoms.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Antoine,

We had a similar customer issue identical to yours that was resolved by
fixing the NIC binding order on both nodes and rebooting the problem node.
