I am running windows 7 with windows live. Today all of our computers started
downloading messages over and over. We have a small wireless network. One
of us uses Outlook Express, One Outlook and myself with Windows live. I went
to our mail provider and erases all of the messages on that server and the
other two users stopped getting duplicates. I seem to be in an infitie loop/
There are about 10 messges on the network solutions webmail server our
provider), but each time live goes to check my e-mails if gives me new ones
first, then starts to indicate download of up to 28,000 messages (I cancel
now and get the new ones again but it keeps going back to the loop for as
long as I will let it). I have set my connection to erase messages from the
server everyday but I can not get this to stop. Help! Please lol

This newsgroup is for Windows Live Sync - http://sync.live.com

I assume you mean Windows Live Mail.
Help for Windows Live Mail (downloaded from http://download.live.com) can be
found here - http://help.live.com

Discussion for Windows Live Mail can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop&cat=en_US_0405EAE1-3A5E-559F-59E6-B48513D5B57E&lang=en&cr=US

However, the problem certainly sounds like it is on the Network Solutions side -
you should contact them. Windows Live Mail can only download mail that the
server identifies as new mail and that Windows Live Mail thinks it has never
seen before.
The fact that multiple machines are seeing the problem suggests that the problem
is not on the local machines, but the server.

I agree absolutely! But they are saying no. The have done this about 4
times in the last 2 years! Time for us to change, however their system seems
to be working again and I can't get the loop to stop. Should I kill my Live
mail and re-register to try and stop the download?

I doubt that this will help since it is 4 machines - unless your machine is
*not* deleting mail from the server like you think it is. That should still not
cause the re-download of the same messages repeatedly on the other machines with
different clients.
However, please:
