I receive pictures perfectly. But when I forward the email, the pictures do
not show (red "x" in a box) - none of them. It doesn't matter what format
the pictures are. If I send email as an attachment, the pictures do
transmit. Any solution for this problem?

Tools | Options | Send | Mail Sending Format | HTML Settings. Is: Send
pictures with messages checked?

Hi, Nick.

Since you didn't use WLM for your post, I can't tell which version you are
asking about. :>( And you are replying to a very old thread from last
Summer.

My guess is that you are asking about WLM 2011, Build 15.4.3508.1109 (also
known as WLM 15 and as Wave 4). This version uses the new Ribbon UI, which
takes some getting used to.

In the upper left corner of the WLM 2011 window is a no-name icon with a
down-arrow triangle. (If you hover your mouse there the title "Windows Live
Mail" will appear.) Click that icon, then Options, then Mail... and,
Voila!, you should see the old familiar Tools | Options... screen that has
been around since OE, including tabs for General, Read, etc.

To make this easier to find in the future, when you get to that Mail...
icon, right-click on it an Add to the Quick Action Toolbar. That QAT can
make using WLM 2011 a LOT easier!

The option mentioned in that July 25th comment 'Send pictures with messages
checked' is not present in the Html or Plain Text settings in WLM 2011.

In WLM 11...three modes are present for pictures
1. Attach
2. Insert
3. Photo Email

Item 1 can be done in Plain text and Html composition, where as 2 and 3
only in Html. Item 3 requires signon with a Live ID since it uploads to the
signed on Live ID SkyDrive.
