Karen, does this apply?

"DoubleSpace Error: R6003 - Integer Divide by Zero":

"A triangular wheel is superior to a square wheel because there are
only three jolts per revolution." Also, it's been pointed out to me,
with 25% fewer corners, it's substantially cheaper to produce.

I have a situation or several situations that I am unable to resolve. We
have several DSR's with Toshiba 2150's who have been getting run-time
errors, specifically 'R6003 Integer Divide by Zero'. We've been told that
run-time errors are not hardware related, but rather software related. I
was wondering if anyone knew anything about run-time errors. These DSR's
people are also having 'weird' things happen to them, such as the machine
booting while in resume mode, lifting laptop to retrieve a paper under it
and the screen blanks out and reboots, and the keyboard acting up (no
response).

Could DOS be causing a problem? I'm trying to figure out software
differences
between the Toshiba 4400's that we've been using for years and the 2150's
that we've been using for a year. The 2150's use the MSDOS 6.22 that was
preloaded, whereas, the 4400's use MSDOS 5.0. Both models run the same DOS
based software.

Our software provider for the programs that the salespeople use to key
orders believes the problem not to be related to those programs. (The code
will give you it's own error if there is a divide by zero.) I'm inclined
to agree since only 2150's are having the problem and the 5-6 years that
we've been using the 4400's we have not experienced these problems. Also,
we have a IBM Thinkpad and a Compaq Contura in the field that have not
experienced these problems. (The IBM is running DOS 5.0. I'm not sure
what the Contura is running on.)

We've had the machines in to our local service provider several times and
they've been unable to find anything wrong with the hardware. We've become
very frustrated as these situations are causing down time for our
salesreps, and they waste the customers time as well. Please, if anyone
has any knowledge of DOS causing run-time errors, can you enlighten me?
What can we do to prevent this? Who can I go to for help?

Thank you for any help you can give me!
