Our corporate DNS server does not support dynamic DNS. The Event ID says to
add the DNS records from the %systemroot%\system32\config\netlogon.dns to
the DNS server, serving the domain referenced in that file. The only DNS
server ref in the file is the DNS server running on the domain
controller.....the same server that gave me the original error ??? So how
do I add the stuff from netlogon.dns to the DNS on the DC ??

Mark,

All the entries in netlogon.dns should contains all dns entries for your DNS
server. Make a copy and gave it to your dns corporate DNS server
administrator.

_kpasswd._tcp.sooooo.ca. 600 IN SRV 0 100 464 cpaq.sooooo.ca.
_kpasswd._udp.sooooo.ca. 600 IN SRV 0 100 464 cpaq.sooooo.ca.
_ldap._tcp.Default-First-Site-Name._sites.sooooo.ca. 600 IN SRV 0 100 389

If there is a way? will those records be entered in sooooo.ca. netlogon sub

Thanks,
Mounir

I know what's wrong now, I removed those entries before as my external dns
was showing the internal ip addresses. Now, although I set it up as AD
integrated. It's loaded as dynamic.

Any idea how to bring it back, or will it effect the network if I disable
the DNS. I don't really care for it internally.

TIA

Mounir
