We are a software house which produces a testing and assessment
software. Our application sits on a webserver and accesses
information on a SQL Server.

One of our users is currently having difficulties accessing the databases
and is getting the following ODBC error: An ODBC database error occurred.
-1 Cannot initialize SSPI package.
State:S1000,Native:127,Origin:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]
State:S1000,Native:127,Origin:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]
QServerManager.cpp line 674

I believe this error is connected with NT authentication, but the SQL Server
and
the DSNs used to connect to it are all setup to use SQL Server
authentication
so I do not know why this error occurs.

Their setup is:

The network is behind a Microsoft Proxy Server version 2.0.
They have 2 sub networks.

aaa.bbb.0.x is their "live" network and
aaa.bbb.3.x is heir "development" network

On the aaa.bbb.3.x network, they have the IIS server with Perception
(our application) installed (aaa.bbb.3.1). This machine does NOT have
the proxy client installed.

The default gateway is, aaa.bbb.3.3 for the Perception server.
Their router from the development network to the live network
is a Multi-homed NT server.

TCP/IP traffic flows like this:

Perception Server (aaa.bbb.3.1) goes to it's default gateway (aaa.bbb.3.3)
which goes to the proxy server (aaa.bbb.0.1)

The SQL Server that they are attempting to connect to is at (aaa.bbb.3.2)
port 1433 - connecting using TCP/IP - not pipes nor multi-protocol.

They have RIP installed on the Proxy server, and the multi-homed server
(aaa.bbb.3.3).

They have not installed I have not installed: PPTP nor RAS.

Please help, or let me know if their is more information I need to
gather to resolve this issue.
