Hello all,

after getting rid of a owstimer error with evemt id 5000 by removing a
schedule conflict in moss 2007, I was presented with a new error, this time a
database error in the event log of my iis server.

The error is:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Office Server Search
Event Category: Gatherer
Event ID: 10032
Date: 9/5/2007
Time: 11:01:26 AM
User: N/A
Computer: MOSSERVER1
Description:
Could not create a database session.

Context: Application 'aaa3eee7-53f2-4cb2-b91a-a677b2c835cd'

Details:
The database connection string is not available. (0xc0041228)

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I cant search for any items on the intranet, i receive the following error:

Your search cannot be completed because of a service error. Try your search
again or contact your administrator for more information.

i am currently doing research to find out how to fix this problem because it
was working fine for a while but please let me know if anyone has a solution
to this problem.

Thanks

Please disregard this question, I have found out what the problem was by
reassociating the indexer and search service with the ssp under application
management on the central administration site under the search heading.

thanks

Would you be so kind as to give details as to how you were able to re-associate the indexer and search service? I have the same problem, but I am unable to find how to re-associate search and indexer.

Thank you,
Peter
