runtime error 1101

I have this runtime error 1101 when I am comparing project with MS Project
Pro 2003. Any hint.

I receive this error occassionally. I believe the source is one of two things:

1. The two files being compared lack a common anscestor file.
2. The compare utility requires a table name for the basis of comparison and
the two tables in each of the files are not identical.
