How do I stop a slide show from ending prematurely?

My slide show stops after the fourth slide (telling me the slide show is
finished, click to exit), though there are over 30 slides. I have tried
deleting the fourth slide but that makes no difference.

Check Slide Show > set up show
Is show All ticked?
