Is there a list of MSIInstaller event ID available anywhere?

The ones I know so far (not much)
11707: installation operation completed succesfully (MSI install)

11724: removal completed sucessfully (MSI uninstall)

11728: configuration completed sucessfully (this is an MSI Repair)

Looking at extending some reporting capabilities to access the Event Viewer
and IDs.

Thanks Stefan.

Isn't there anything between the 11724 and 11728 ?

EventID's are generated by the EventLog and have nothing to do with the actual
error that caused the event to be logged. The description of the event should
contain the error number.

Michael,
I'm not I understand what you meant... are you saying that an EventID of
11707 can be generated by another process aside from MsiInstaller?

Then wouldn't that make the EventIDs useless, as they represent nothing
unique?

Quote from the doc:

All general errors authored in the Error table that are returned for an
installation that fails are logged in the Application Event Log with a
message ID equal to the Error + 10,000. For example, the error number in the
Error table for an installation completed successfully is 1707. The
successful installation is logged in the Application Event Log with a
message ID of 11707 (1707 + 10,000).

In other words:

11724 is equivalent to error code 1724, which in turn means "Removal
completed successfully." Alist of these error codes can also be found in the
SDK.

Well that's what I thought, but from what Stefan is saying, seems I am
mistaken... Better go with him on this one! ;-)

Maybe other sources can generate the same IDs. (I don't think they're
guaranteed to be unique across all sources).
But if the source is MsiInstaller, then the ID should be decoded as
described in the SDK article I've quoted.
