I just got Office 2004 pro with VPC 7. Did an install of VPC7 and ran
the program. Immediately got the error "An unrecoverable processor
error has been encountered. The PC will restart now." The PC image
restarts and get the same message again and again. I quit the "PC"
during boot (press the red close button in PC's menu bar and try
holding down the cmd key when I start up the PC/image. I get the same
error then another error "The PC could not be restored because one of
the hard disk images has been modified since the PC was saved." The
image saves automatically and I can't get it to stop. Then I right
clicked on the image and discarded the saved state. I then boot the PC
and get the error "An unrecoverable processor error has been
encountered. The PC will restart now.". Back to my first error message

I only have 1.5GB installed. Any ideas? This is the second version of
VPC I bought for my G5 that doesn't work! Yes, I'm frustrated...

It happens to me too. I just did 'Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions' and this fix the problem. Try to reboot your Host PC first and then do the virtual machine additions.

It would be helpful if you would post the specs on your system so that
we have an ideas what we're working with here.

How do I "Install or Update Virtual Machine additions" if I the error

"An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The PC will

restart now." occurs before I even log in to the vpc? I tried doing
the Install/Update while opening the VPC in safemode, but the install/
update wouldn't run in safe mode.

Did you apply the VPC 7.03 patch yet? This may help you out as the VPC on
the Office CD most likely is not up to date.
