Problem printing page numbers in footer in Word doc

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Hi,
I am trying to print a Word doc [Using Office 2004] with page numbers I have inserted in the footer. In the doc the page numbers are visible yet when I print the doc, the numbers do not print. I have inserted page numbers, then deleted them in the footer, and inserted them again, all in vain. I have looked at previous posts yet cannot seem to find the same query. I have also checked out preferences etc. I am sure there is something very simple that I have missed.

Margin's too small :-)

This is usually produced because the footer margin is too small and is
positioning the page number outside the printer's printable area.

Make sure you do a View>Header and Footer and get into the Footer area
before you place the page number. If you place it outside the footer, in
the document text area, then the page margin can't control it properly.

That did not work for me. I have a 3-digit number rotated text. It is within the margins of the doc. If I use the required 1" footer area, the first number is above it a little, but it is the last number that doesn't print.

Ok, just tried to number the pages using the Add a Footer and it worked! Thank you!
