Error 5530 - please help!!!

Dear All,
I have the following error under Mail:

The SMTP server łxxx.xxx.xxx.edu˛ rejected the password for user łxxx˛

Please re-enter your password, or cancel.

This is the same error under Entourage:

The SMTP server for "MLE" does not recognize any of the authentication
methods supported by Entourage. To send mail, try disabling SMTP
authentication in the account settings or talk to your administrator.

An unknown error (5530) occurred

And finally this is the same message under Mozilla Mail:

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1
unable to relay for x...@xxx.xxx.edu.

I am using 10.2.1 with the latest patch for Office v.X: 10.1.2 update.

What's going on here?

It sounds like some problem with your SMTP authentications settings. Go to
Tools -> Accounts, then open your mail account. Make sure your SMTP server
is set to the correct one, then click Advanced Sending Options. Is
authentication enabled? Try disabling it and test to see if it works. If
not, try enabling it using the same settings as incoming mail server. You
may need to contact your administrator to get special settings should that
not work.
