This is on an SBS 2003 box with Exchange 2003 sp2.

Messages are stuck in the queue with the queue in retry status.
Internal email are not being delivered to the recipients. It doesn't matter
who the
recipients are.

External internet emails work fine.

I have tried running repair on the private store, plus a defrag, plus
isinteg -fix alltests.

I have uninstalled the Trend Mail Scan and restarted the server.

I have rerun the CIECW wizard.

I have moved all the mail out the queue, and initiated a new message, which
is also stuck.

I turned on logging the the Exchange Transport to maximum.
This is the error in the applications event log:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeTransport
Event Category: Exchange Store Driver
Event ID: 327
Date: 4/2/2008
Time: 9:55:22 PM
User: N/A
Computer: SBSERVER
Description:
The following call : EcLocallyDeliverMsg to the store failed. Error code :

3fd49361-262f-4979-839b-40f5d2933fec. FID : a-238. MID : a-124DF. File : .

I can't find anything to reference error code 1404.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you seen

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896363

and

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934450

Or did this only start happening after you used eseutil and isinteg?

Thanks for replying.

No I had not seen those articles, and looked and googled all over the place

The first article references a different error code than the one I have
which is 1404.
Does this matter?
Is this hotfix post SP2?

Now I'm getting this:

The following call : EcLocallyDeliverMsg to the store failed. Error code :
-2147221240

This is leading me to believe that there is a corruption in the store that
the utilities can't fix.

I have fixed this problem by doing the following:

1. Using exmerge to export mail, or exporting mail directly from users'
cached Outlook profile.

2. Stopping information store service.

3. Moving priv1.edb and log files to backup directory.

4. Starting information store service.

5. Enter into Exchange system manager. Under mailbox store mount the
private store. Instruct the service to create a blank store.

6. Create new profiles for everyone. Re-import all mail.

This worked for me. If anyone has any questions, or comments on how to do
this more efficiently, please reply. Thanks to everyone for their help.
