The Met Office provides a 'Definition of codes' for some of the codes used on the 'DailyForecast' for the Azure data downloads.

However, can someone please explain what the 'WindDirectionDay' number signifies.  For example, if the value given is '12',  does that mean the wind direction is 12º,  which would be approximately North North East?

I believe this is the relevant documentation  http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/datapoint/product/uk-daily-site-specific-forecast

(terse as ever)

Day means between sunrise and sunset.  16 point compass (presumably running clockwise from north)
