Working out the dates and times

I am wanting to work out what times the weather I get returned actually relates to.

I was looking at capabilities: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/datapoint/product/uk-hourly-site-specific-observations/detailed-documentation 

but all examples use res=hourly

I am calling the weather res=3hourly but this doesn't work with the above API call.

eg) http://datapoint.metoffice.gov.uk/public/data/val/wxfcs/all/json/[site-id]?res=3hourly

what other options do you get with `res=`

Hi John,

The detailed documentation page you refer to, namely http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/datapoint/product/uk-hourly-site-specific-observations/detailed-documentation covers observations, that is actual reports from various locations and these reports are hourly.

For 3 hourly forecast data the relevant detailed documentation page is http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/datapoint/product/uk-3hourly-site-specific-forecast/detailed-documentation and this shows to call data for a site, e.g. 3772 you should use http://datapoint.metoffice.gov.uk/public/data/val/wxfcs/all/json/3772?res=3hourly&key= <API key>
