Hi there,

I was wondering whether it is possible
  1. to change the dimensions of the output png of the pressure forecast map layer product? The coverage is a rectangle (12W, 48N, 5E, 61N), however, the output is a square (500x500 px). Thus the georeferenced output looks a bit odd/distorted.
  2. to access the TMS service that you are using on the 'Live Example' page?
Cheers,
Attila

Hi Attila

I have asked some experts here at the Met office and it's been suggested that these wiki pages  may help to find a way to get a rectanglar project of the map layerhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_map_projections.The nearest projection is the first one on this page:   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equirectangular_projection The images are provided as a mercator projection, so you need a map background that works with this. see product page for more info. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/datapoint/product/pressure-forecast-map-layer

I don't understand your point 2 I'm afraid.

Regards

Clare
