Retrieve weather warnings through DataPoint API

Hi,

is there a way to retrieve the severe weather warnings through the DataPoint API now or in near future?

This question was asked back in 2015 and the answer was, that there is no chance to get the data through the DataPoint API.

Has this changed? 

We still have to use the RSS feed (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/guide/weather/rss) for these data?

It appears the answer is still no. In a rapidly changing world, severe weather is becoming more and more prominent. Isn't it about time Datapoint reflected that?
