Favicons with meteor

Hello, I am trying to add a favicon to my meteor app and have tried everything I could find online and nothing is working. I have a favicon.ico file and have put it in my public directory and have attempted to link to it in many different ways. Can anyone tell me what the process is to get a favicon with meteor? I looked at the Meteor docs and they too didn't help. Thanks!
