installation problem

Hello,
        I downloaded MEME 4.9.1 in Linux platform but while running , : make and make test it is showing some error:

                       compilation terminated.
make[4]: *** [libwiggle_la-zlibFace.lo] Error 1

 Can you help me out of this problem. This is the same case with other versions as well.

You are missing the zlib compression library. On Ubuntu and related distributions it can be installed with the command:
sudo apt-get install zlib1g-dev
