Hi ~

I tried to install MEME4.11.4 on MacOS 10.12.5 from the downloaded installation folder.
The output from 'make test' indicates crash in running :
fasta-dinucleotide-shuffle1
dreme1
dreme2
glam2_1
glam2scan1

It also shows failure in running :

meme-chip1 (differences in combined.meme)

How should I proceed to check why the failures happen and how should I prevent crashing and to make meme-chip1 work?

Or are they actually something I should not worry too much about ? I am planning to use the MEME suite to do a motif discovery for a set of promoters from a non-model organism.

Best,
XXX

I suspect you are missing some of the required programs and Perl modules. Did you see any warning messages when running 'configure'? The most common cause of the dreme tests failing is having an older version of Python (< 2.7).

You can find more detailed information on the test failures in the tests/scripts subdirectory. Each test will leave behind a log file with details of the test. You may also want to run

perl scripts/dependencies.pl

This will tell you if you are missing any of the required Perl modules.

If you continue to have problems, post again, attaching the log files of the failing tests.
